The first weekend in November saw the first of the winter snow, and the two shots below were both taken on Helevllyn.

Some of climbing Fellfarers had a week in El Choro in Andalucia, with climbing and via ferrata the main activities. Four photos below are followed by a short slideshow of some of these activities.

The mid-week walk saw a small party ascend by the lovely waterfalls in the lower Measand Beck and onto Bampton Common. A sunny day, but the northerly wind kept the air cold.
On the summit are Val, Mick, Margaret, Colin, and Roger, with Hugh behind the camera.

Saturday dawned bright and cold with a light covering of snow, so the drive over to Austwick was taken carefully. 10 Fellfarers enjoyed a walk up to the amazing Norber erratics, famous throughout the UK as they (Silurian greywacke and slate) are older than the rock on which they now rest (carboniferous limestone). The group then followed the ridge along the west side of Crummockdale to enjoy their lunch at its head, before continuing around the head of the dale visiting Moughton Scar, and dropping down via Crummockdale Scar to Wharfe and the path back to Austwick. A pint of Copper Dragon beer in the New Inn at Clapham rounded of an excellent, but cold, day.

Right shows the lunch stop, with left to right - Walter, Krysia, Peter, Margaret, Roger, Colin, Val, Kati, and Gary with Oscar the dog.
Below left is taken on the limestone pavement at the head of Crummockdale looking towards snow covered Penyghent, and below right shows Ingleborough across the head of Crummockdale..

The cold snowy weather continued to the end of the month, and Micks sunset over Scout Scar sums up the weather perfectly.
